I Like Tequila, But Will Pass on the Tila

First of all, an update. Remember that Spencer Pratt vs. Mary Kate Olsen feud I was so looking forward to? Well today the Spence made a statement apologizing to Mary Kate for calling her the less attractive twin, citing that her talk of his "soccer days" brought up some painful memories. He also revealed that he was jealous of her success. He's such a douchebag. I already couldn't stand him but now I like him even less for quickly quelling the powder keg that could've erupted into a great celeb feud. Booo.

Speaking of trashy reality TV show faces, tonight is the finale of Tila Tequila's Shot at Love 2 on MTV. Obviously, I watch this show. I don't watch it as religiously as some of my other fav TV programming, but I do make a note to catch up on the reruns of it when I see that it's on. The MySpace model is down to two people, the boy (Bo) and the girl (Kristy). Her search for filmed bisexual love is almost at an end (for the second season). Who will she pick? I'll reveal who I think it's going to be later.

First of all, I'd like to talk about why this season was a disappointment. Shows like this (Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and to a lesser extent That's Amore) need an exciting and entertaining host, which Tila is, but it also requires GREAT contestants. The first season of the show had some really interesting characters, and some great fights. My favorite of course was Amanda, the giant (and mannish) Barbie who had the CRAZIEST facial expressions ever.

Sure, this season featured a pretty good fight (resulting in Bo having to have surgery and consuming all food through a straw due to a broken jaw) but none of the character/contestants were all that appealing. For what it's worth I was rooting for Brittany, who was eliminated last week.

So, who will win? It's really a pretty easy choice. Kristy has to win. I don't think MTV or Tila's management would ever let her choose Bo. First of all, she supposedly left last season's winnner (Bobby) because he couldn't keep up with her lifestyle (he claims she wouldn't return his calls after he won), and Bo is even more humdrum than Bobby was. Secondly, after choosing a MAN last season, rumors ran rampant that she's not even bisexual, and always favored the men. If Tila wants a third season, she's going to have to pick a chick this time, and Kristy is the lucky(?) one.

Having to cut this post short because I'm off to play some liverpool rummy (welcome to my exciting summer in Blo/No, Illinois) before I catch the finale.

I'd just like to add that the best thing stemming from either season of the show is the GIGANTIC bed. Making all like twenty contestants share one bed, was completely genius. I think the exact same concept should be adopted for all freshmen floors on college campuses. Discreet hookups will have to find more creative locations, but everyone on the floor will get to know each other a LOT better.
